Students explore what it takes to be a teacher (and how teaching skills apply beyond classrooms), including the history/purposes/issues/ethics/laws/roles/qualifications of teaching. The course includes at least 20 hours of guided observations/field experience in different settings and typically has students develop a portfolio tied to their observations and career exploration in education.
